Dynamic balancing method for automotive electronic water pumps

The characteristic of a brushless DC water pump is that it has no electric brushes and uses electronic components to induce commutation, with a long service life of up to 200000-30000 hours. It has low noise and is completely sealed, making it suitable for use as a submersible pump with low energy consumption. Electric motor water pump uses voltage. When the machinery reverses, the brushes will wear out. After running continuously for about 2000 hours, the brushes will wear out, leading to unstable pump operation. The characteristic of a brush motor water pump is its short service life. High noise, easy to contaminate toner, and poor waterproof performance.

Unlike traditional mechanical water pumps, the dynamic balance of automotive electronic water pumps is mainly achieved through electronic control systems. The system will perform a self check before the water pump motor runs to check the dynamic balance of the motor rotor. If imbalance is found, the system will perform adaptive control through acceleration and deceleration or adjusting the control voltage to achieve dynamic balance of the pump motor.
